I help individuals to nurture their health through whole food and to make lasting lifestyle changes so they can live healthier and happier.
As mother of two, who were constantly ill since birth, I have great passion to support mothers in nurturing their own children’s health!

Our Story

Meet Dina Sim, a Health Coach, Urban Nutrition Farmer, and the Founder of Verdura Pod, where we farm based on nutritional values.

Before becoming an urban farmer and health coach, Dina worked in the corporate industry overseeing the Asia Pacific region for over 22 years. However, she was deeply inspired after seeing her mother win the battle against colon cancer. She decided to leave her job and made the switch to urban farming and health coaching.

Dina firmly believes that parents hold the key to the health of future generations. As a mother to two sons herself, she witnessed how her boys’ health had taken a turn for the better after being introduced to whole foods.

Since then, Dina has been conducting various workshops in Singapore about nutrition and pesticide-free urban gardening. Through gardening, her students have learnt that there are so many things to enjoy in this world, and one of the simplest is the magic of nature. Not only does it bring us nutrition, but it also helps us in our mental wellness. There’s just something about experiencing the wonders of the natural world that leaves us feeling refreshed and reinvigorated.

During her free time, Dina enjoys gardening and juicing with her 11-year-old and 9-year-old. By engaging in these hands-on activities together, her sons enjoyed eating vegetables more since they took part in the entire process themselves— from source to plate. Dina hope to spread this same joy she shares with her sons to children, parents, or anyone who cares about their health through education and nature.

About Verdura Pod

At Verdura Pod, we are passionate about inspiring every household in Singapore to grow pesticide-free vegetables and plants. Through our urban farming and microgreens classes in Singapore, we aim to equip our students with the knowledge and provide them with the tools needed to achieve a nutrient-rich diet and holistic lifestyle.

Our mission is to encourage every household to grow microgreens in their home space and to choose to eat healthy food. At the same time, we educate and guide people to healthy nutrition led by Chief Health & Nutrition Coach, Dina Sim.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to health and nutrition. Every individual has their own specific nutritive and health needs that work for them. This is why we schedule one-to-one health coaching for our students to better understand their routines, practices, and preferences.

Join us in the pursuit of a simpler, greener, and more joyful way of life through urban farming!
